quietone, It says in scripture that John 16:7-8 7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. 8 And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: KJV Acts 11:16-17 16 Then remembered I the word of the Lord, how that he said, John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost. 17 Forasmuch then as God gave them the like gift as he did unto us, who believed on the Lord Jesus Christ; what was I, that I could withstand God? But they wouldn't all receive the same baptism; some would be baptized with the Holy Ghost and the rest would be baptized with fire. The interesting point, that wasn't mentioned at the time, was that the baptism received was going to be a result of the individuals own decision, i.e. just who is the man called Jesus. Ephes. 1:13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, Now for the unbelievers there is another verse. Rev. 20:14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. |
