1 | Is it right to use the word "Trinity"? | Bible general Archive 1 | jlpangilinan | 38231
Yes I do believed that Father and Son are both God. What I am trying to say is that, it is Jesus telling us that they are not equal. John 10:30 "I and the Father are one". of course they are one, because Jesus Christ is a very part of the Father:Joh 1:18 No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him. They are one in taking of thier flocks. They are one but not equal as Christ mentioned; "the Father is greater than Him" God bless, Johnny |

Johnny, The only perspective where Jesus Christ was any "less" than God the Father was in His humanity. When Jesus said, "If you loved me, you would be glad that I am going to the Father, for the Father is greater than I" in John 14:28, Jesus was not speaking in this verse about His nature or His essential being. If you remember, Christ said earlier that "I and the Father are one" (John 10:30). In John 14:28, Jesus is speaking from the perspective of His Incarnation- His humanity, when He says that the Father is greater than He is. Jesus Christ is equal to the Father in Godhood, but was inferior to the Father in His humanity. God the Father was seated upon the highest throne in heaven! His glory is uneclipsed as He is surrounded by neverending praise! However, the Son was despised and rejected of men, surrounded by enemies, and soon to be crucified. It is from this perspective, and this perspective only, that Jesus could say that the Father is "greater" than Him. Blessings to you, Makarios |

3 | Is it right to use the word "Trinity"? | Bible general Archive 1 | jlpangilinan | 38376
I do believed in Jesus Christ when He said: Joh 13:16 Verily, verily, I say unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him. Without any conclusion, Jesus Christ mentioned that that "is sent greater than he that sent him" Here, Jesus Christ truly accepted that who sent is greater than Him, even in the no beggining Jesus Christ knew that the Father will sent Him to save the world, so even before the time that Jesus sent here in the wolrd he knews that the Father is going to sent Him and he accepted it because the Father is greater than Him. Jesus Christ not just talking about His humanity here but more importantly reveal to us and we know that even Him accepted that who sent Him (which is the Father) is greater than Him. In addition Jesus Christ mentioned that no one knows when His second coming, but only the Father, Jesus Christ is God before he accepted to be one of us. Did He forget that time of second coming when he became a man? If they are really the same person and equal it is possible that the person that is the same as you and equal as you, knew things that you dont know? what equality is that anyway? Jesus Christ is accepted that the Father is Greater than Jesus, I believed in His word God bless, Johnny |
