1 | WHERE DID MAGI'S COME FROM? | Bible general Archive 1 | Jethro | 17155
The "Magi" were not magicians. The KJV translates this wrong. Magi were the Cochim of the Hebrew Bible. They were the Princes of Israel that lived in Babylon. Before the written word, the Jews were given God's Word in the Heavens. The stars were their roadmap. The Cochim waited for the star to come so that they could follow it to the promised Messiah. If they were Magi they would have been killed by the Jews. Magi were not allowed to live as they were performing witchcraft.

I was always under the impression that the Magi represented the ingathering of the Gentiles and fulfilled to some degree the prophecy of Isaiah 60:1-6 and Psalm 72:10-11,15,17. Emmaus |
