Greetings Moedee! I assume from your questions that you are attempting to set up a no win situation - either yes or not would be wrong. Correct me if I am wrong! :-) Allow me to take the "yes" response! Who said that anything happened between Gen. 1:1 and 1:2? Even if there were events which occurred between the two verses, inspiration doesn't mean that every possible detail of history is included in Scripture. Greetings Searcher! Good verse! :-) I don't know yet if my assumption was correct about the original question. But, I have heard people use that kind of arugment in an attempt to discredit Scripture. They might say, "Well, it tell us what happened at 5:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m., but what about 5:15 p.m.?" The assumption being that somehow Scripture erred by not mentioning 5:15 p.m.! As you pointed out with John 21:25, there are many things not recorded simply because of time and space constraints! Of course, this may not have been the point of the original question at all! :-) Happy New Year! Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |
