1 | Do you know people in heaven? | Bible general Archive 1 | RElderCascade | 3123
Hoping for what is known only from earthly experience is hardly a quality example of truly wondering what heaven is like! I sure hope you are not under the impression that you have given scriptural evidence to back up your idea that your pets and loved ones will be known in heaven. My observation is that you talk lots about your belief's but you don't evidence these so they can be shared by someone else. Mysteries are mysteries. By the way which position is truly embracing the "hope of glory and mystery of godliness", the one that wants heaven inclued knowns from now or the position that doesn't know who will be recognizable or not and doesn't care? Which position is most consistent with the gospel of grace, the the (first) example that wants specific things to be part of the experience or the (second) example that hopes for God only, and that by faith. An experience is what heaven will not be because experience is in time and space. When we are in eternity we will be outside of time and space in dimensioned history. The whole thing is upside down from our current thinking. How could it really be any other way... |

I base my beliefs on the entire Bible, which I have read more than once, not just a few verses taken out of context. Just because I am not J. VanImpe, who has memorized practically the entire Bible, does not mean I don't have Scripture to back up my beliefs, which I have the right to by the way. I do know where many things are located in the Bible, but there is one thing I do not believe in and will not do, and that is argue over the Bible. I learned a long time ago to not respond to insults and argumentative attitudes regarding beliefs, and I can and will give you Scripture to back that up!! 2 Tim.2 and Titus 3:9. I may not agree with yours or the beliefs of some other individuals, but as a fellow Christain I respect your right to your opinions and only ask the same Christ-like behavior in return. God Bless! |

Where was the insult you referred to? Who's arguing over the Bible? I asked questions and gave clear points on texts. Its called point and counterpoint. You do this all the time when you read the Biblel or anything, but now it isn't interesting because somebody believes something different for clearly demonstrated shared reasons, how could I have been more reasonable?
