1 | What about the Silent Prayer | Bible general Archive 1 | srbaegon | 21793 | ||
Response................. Others on this forum may disagree, but I believe there are appropriate uses for silent prayer. I give for example Nehemiah, where he stood before the king and offered up (as I see it) a short, silent prayer before continuing. Neh 2:4-5 Then the king said to me, "What would you request?" So I prayed to the God of heaven. I said to the king, "If it please the king, and if your servant has found favor before you, send me to Judah, to the city of my fathers' tombs, that I may rebuild it." Steve |

Scripture ... Neh 1:4, 4:4,9, 5:19, 6:9,14 ... There are some examples of Nehemiah's spontenaous prayers. Just because the words aren't recorded mean it was a silent prayer. Searcher |

Explanation................................... What you say is true, but if I was standing before my superior being asked what the problem was, I would not even consider interrupting by praying to God aloud then answering the question. Steve |
