1 | A "worse place" in hell for greater sin? | Bible general Archive 1 | Darmstrn | 21902
I am doing a paper that compares the Hell of "Dante's Inferno" with the biblical description. Aside from Matthew 18:6, Mark 9:42, or Luke 17:2 (The millstone comment), is there a scripture that says something like "a worse punishment is reserved for those who lead others astray"? I know I've seen it somewhere (I think it was in reference to corrupt church leadership), but I cannot find it.

I just read a few emails about hell in another egroup. Here is a copy of email: Thanks for the website hollywoodcalifornia.com/TruthAboutHell.htm It definately agrees with the Biblical teaching about hell. I also recommend that every Christian read A Divine Revelation of Hell and also A Divine Revelation of Heaven by Mary K. Baxter. I have done Biblical research on what she wrote, and it is definately Bible based. Christ revealed to her the horrors of hell for 30 nights. This is the most detailed description of hell I have ever read. Hell is in the center of the earth. Then Christ revealed to her the glory of heaven for 10 nights. Heaven, the New Jerusalem city, is beyond the galaxies of space. This book is a tremendous blessing to read. |

Contrary view................................. I read "A Divine Revelation of Hell" and was disturbed by how unbiblical it was. The ultimate was at the end of the book where the Lord Jesus purports to leave the author alone for a time to suffer the torments of hell. That directly contradicts Scripture. Steve |
