The one who is to be encouraged, are they a believer in Jesus Christ? If the one that will receive this Biblical help isn't a believer, then anything that you could give them from the Bible, other then the gospel really wouldn't do them any good anyway, sad but true. I believe that your statement "if the one that will receive this Biblical help isn't a believer, that anything that you could give them from the Bible, other than the gospel really wouldn't do them any good anyway" is a bit misleading. True, sometimes you will be told to take your bible babble and.......! However, in the darkest hours of one's deliberations, one answer could very well be an introduction to the One who heals all wounds, mends all broken hearts, and welcomes all the destressed souls into His loving, compasionate arms to wipe away all their tears and make them a "new person" in the name of Jesus Christ. There is always a possibility that you will plant the "seed", and God will provide the harvest, and they will BECOME A BELIEVER. Centurian.... | ||||||

Yes, I am in full agreement with that. We never know what God might use to start a person thinking in the right direction. Isaiah 55:11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. |
