Greetings Steve! We might also add that 40 stands for: 1) Gen. 7:12 - very bad weather. 2) Gen. 50:3 - death and then embalming. 3) Ex. 16:35 - lots of food. 4) Deut. 8:4 - healthy feet. 5) Deut. 9:9 - no food. 6) Deut. 29:5 - indestructable clothes. 7) Judge 5:31 - Peace. 8) 1 Sam. 4:18 - the perfect reign of a king. 9) 1 Kg. 6:17 - the perfect length of a room. 10) 1 Kg. 19:8 - the perfect length of a journey. 11) Mt. 4:2 - the number of days it takes to get hungry. 12) Mk. 1:13 - temptation. 13) and much more.... The overwhelming spiritual significance of all this will become apparent if you will simply take the first letter of each word, add the numerical value of each, multiply them by 10. The result, you will find the name of the anti-christ. ;-) Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |
