1 | Did Jesus know he was God? | Bible general Archive 1 | rsrsd | 1960
Hello... with Jesus using truths such " I and the Father am one " and " If you know me you know the Father , and if you know the Father you know me " the answer must be yes . However , one of my favorites is when Jesus says to the "rich young man " why do you call me good; only the Father is good , he was actually revealing His true nature . That particular form of the word " good " in this case means morally and essentially perfect .Only God can fit this description . As for his tribulations , we must never forget that He was truly incarnate , fully human while he walked the earth in New Testament times . He loved his fellow man in a way we can only marvel at , while we attempt the same . Yet He always knew that the Fathers Will would be done on earth as it is in Heaven. I pray I have not made this question more cloudy , as it is a great wonder that God can be Trinity , and a great Blessing that one day we will understand that. Peace , rsrsd |

2 | Did Jesus know he was God? | Bible general Archive 1 | TruthSeeker | 1975
Since Jesus did know he was God, then why would it have been such a struggle to sacrifice himself? My answer would be that he was fully human and He was fully God at the same time. It was the human side that would have struggled with the idea of being crucified and the God side that kept him focused. (I guess the same could be said for us) Is this something that can be backed up scripturally or is it more of a mystery thing? Or is there a better explanation?

Your answer is one that fits in with all we know of the Scriptural teaching that at all times Jesus was fully human and fully God. He never for one minute stopped being God. Yet, at the same time, he was fully man. Is there a better explanation? I think not. You have answered the question very well.
