1 | Everyone origianlly in the Book of Life? | Rev 3:5 | shortstop45us | 66921
I was always under the impression that once we recieved Jesus as our Lord and Savior our names were added to the book of life...Rev 3:5 reads to me as if everyone is in the Book of Life to begin with but we could have it removed (erased or blotted out) by God. If this is so it would seem to be an answer to some who ask how can babies be saved since they can't accept Jesus as Savior...But if their names are written in the Book of Life to begin with, as babies they can do nothing to have their names removed so they would be saved...Just a thought...What do you think?

Shortstop, "May Peace and Grace be Yours from God our Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ"! "...clothed in white garments" means to be set apart for God. The names of those whom God has chosen are written in the Book of Life. "...I will not erase his name from the Book of Life" means that those who belong to Christ will never be "plucked from His hand." John 10:28-29 "And I give unto them eternal life, and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand." Take a look at the post (by kalos) listed just above yours titled: Book of Life "will never be altered". Kalos' post will shed more light on the verse. God bless you, cwade |
