1 | What does Revelation 3:14-22 mean? | Rev 3:17 | jendaddie | 42489
I am writing an exegetical paper on John's letter to the church at Laodicea. I am having a really hard time coming up with solid material to study and was wondering if anyone could help me with either a good source, or even some personal reflection as to what the passage means. It would be of great help! Thanks!
2 | What does Revelation 3:14-22 mean? | Rev 3:17 | Rita X | 42620
Laodicea was a wealthy city of commerce that specialized in woolen goods, had a medical school famous for its eye ointment. It had a hot springs outside of town a ways that was piped into the town but by the time it got there it was lukewarm. The church represents our own times of compromise -- not willing to commit completely to God's Word.
