Mr Doc you are so good to answer all of my questions.I guess I keep you busy? I am beleiving this also about the love of the christian (beleiver) as you say being the first love we all have when we are getting saved. If the church at Ephesis is not where it was any more then they did not repent as he told them too how did hefight against them with his mout as he said he wood? Is there any accont of this in the bible where he did this thing and I have been tought the Revelation of St. John is the end time prophesy how can this thing be were still all here are all of the outher churches spoken to in the Revelatin still churches? If not then that means Jesus is coming really soon we are sertinly living in the end times are we not? All Praise be to our Lord and Savyor Jesus The Christ. Blessings to you and your family KcabmI4 |

Hi, Kcabml4... I do not know the specific history of the church of Ephesus. Clearly, though, we may rightly surmise that God dealt with them as He said he would. In regard to the end times, the old Baptist divines said it this, "The end of God's appointing this day [judgment], is for the manifestation of the glory of His mercy, in the eternal salvation of the elect; and of His justice, in the eternal damnation of the reprobate, who are wicked and disobedient; for then shall the righteous go into everlasting life, and receive that fullness of joy and glory with everlasting rewards, in the presence of the Lord; but the wicked, who know not God, and obey not the gospel of Jesus Christ, shall be cast aside into everlasting torments, and punished with everlasting destruction, from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of His power. (Romans 9:22, 23; Matthew 25:21, 34; 2 Timothy 4:8; Matthew 25:46; Mark 9:48; 2 Thessalonians 1:7-10) As Christ would have us to be certainly persuaded that there shall be a day of judgment, both to deter all men from sin, and for the greater consolation of the godly in their adversity, so will He have the day unknown to men, that they may shake off all carnal security, and be always watchful, because they know not at what hour the Lord will come, and may ever be prepared to say, 'Come Lord Jesus; come quickly. Amen.' (2 Corinthians 5:10, 11; 2 Thessalonians 1:5-7; Mark 13:35-37; Luke 12:35-40; Revelation 22:20)" (1689 London Baptist Confession of Faith, chapter 32, paragraph 2 and 3). In Him, Doc |
