1 | Inhabitants of kingdom on earth | Rev 20:4 | kalos | 30105
The Inhabitants of the Millennial Kingdom Rev 20:4 Then I saw thrones, and sitting on them were those to whom authority to act as judges and to pass sentence was entrusted. Also I saw the souls of those who had been slain with axes [beheaded] for their witnessing to Jesus and [for preaching and testifying] for the Word of God, and who had refused to pay homage to the beast or his statue and had not accepted his mark or permitted it to be stamped on their foreheads or on their hands. And they lived again and ruled with Christ (the Messiah) a thousand years. [Dan. 7:9, 22, 27.] (Amplified Bible) 'We now come to a passage which deals with a portion of the inhabitants of this kingdom on earth. 'Looking at Scripture as a whole, the kingdom will be inhabited in the beginning by two categories of saints. First, there will be resurrected saints in glorified bodies like that of our Lord (Phil. 3:21). This will include Old Testament saints, church age saints (the bride of Christ), and Tribulation martyrs. Second, there will be those Tribulation saints who escaped death and were preserved through the Tribulation to go into the kingdom of our Lord (Matt. 24:13; 25:10, 30, 32-34; Rev. 14:1). These believers will have mortal bodies like ours today and during the course of the Millennium they will beget children. These children will also, regardless of the personal and glorious presence of Christ, need to receive Jesus Christ as their Savior by faith. This fact will provide the potential for a third category of people in the Millennium, unbelievers in mortal bodies, men and women susceptible to the deceptions of Satan. These will form the constituency for the last-time revolt under Satan’s final deception.' (www.bible.org/studies/nt/books/rev/jhk3/rev-30.htm ) |

2 | Inhabitants of kingdom on earth | Rev 20:4 | EdB | 30118
Kalos You said, "Second, there will be those Tribulation saints who escaped death and were preserved through the Tribulation to go into the kingdom of our Lord" Do you really think that is who Rev 14;1 is talking about? When I read about the Tribulation I don't see anyone that didn't take the mark of the beast coming out of it. EdB |

But he who endures to the end will be saved. Matthew 24:13 AMPLIFIED "The reference is not to the salvation of the soul of the believer who endures persecution, but to his deliverance by the Lord's return" (NSRB note at Matthew 24:13). In Matthew 24:4-31 the entire passage is Jesus' answer to the disciples' questions: "When shall these things be? And what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the age?" (v.2). In subsequent verses Jesus is teaching about Daniel's seventieth week of years: the end time; the middle of Daniel's seventieth week: the abomination of desolation; the great tribulation (latter half of week); and the King's return to earth at the close of the tribulation. So in the context this interpretation of verse 13 is the more likely interpretation -- i.e., that the reference is to the believer's deliverance by the Lord's return. In addition, we are not saved by enduring to the end. We are saved by grace through faith because of what Christ did on the cross -- not by anything that we do. No one is saved by holding on or holding out. When we are saved, it is because God Himself holds onto us. EdB: Thanks for your interest in this topic. Do you know of a clear verse of Scripture that teaches that there won't be anyone that didn't take the mark of the beast coming out of the Tribulation? I am open to additional information, if you have some. I'll be looking forward to your reply. Grace to you, kalos |

4 | Inhabitants of kingdom on earth | Rev 20:4 | Robert Nicholson | 30139
Dear brother: During the great tribulation God will turn again to Israel nationally and a great number will be saved Rev. 7 4-8. In addition we read "I beheld and lo a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues stood before the throne, and before the lamb, clothed with white robes and palms in their hands. V13 "And one of the elders answered me saying "what are these arrayed in white robes? from whence came they? And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of the great tribulation, and have wash their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb" Rev: 7 14 We know that according 2 Thess 1 that at the end of the great tribulation the Lord Jesus is coming in great power and in glory. "in flaming fire taken vengence on them who obeyed not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. During his coming we know that the saints of the age of grace will be rasied and changed in caught up to him. 1Thess. 4 and we will return with him. He will set up his throne and those who are alive on the earth will be judged. There will be those who are saved Rev. 7 who will go into his earthly kingdom and those who will be damned because they rejected him. I believe that the people who go into God's earthly kingdom are both Jew and Gentile. This just not suggest a second chance for those who reject the gospel now. But explains in part what may happen to those who in this day of grace have never heard the gospel and never rejected Christ. I believe that Rev.7:9 is a clear verse that shows that there will be those who did not receive the mark of the beast. The sad thing for those who have rejected Christ during this day of grace that "God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie; that they might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness. Peace in our risen Lord Robert |
