1 | Is tribulation-era slavery prophesied? | Rev 18:13 | kdnits | 9105
Is this reference to "slaves and human lives" a reference to future slave trading during the tribulation era (possibly not as aresult of racial distinction as historically applied, but of a social/religious persecution against those who refuse to "buy and sell under the mark of the beast"?
2 | Is tribulation-era slavery prophesied? | Rev 18:13 | Makarios | 9117
Yes, kdnits! This reference to "slaves and human lives" could very well be a reference to future slave trading during the tribulation. The MacArthur Study Bible makes a comment on this verse, "'bodies and souls of men.' The slave trade, long banned by the civilized nations of the world, will reappear in Antichrist's debauched commercial system." Good observation! Nolan |
