1 | Did this war already occur? | Rev 12:7 | bstudent | 115989
Did this war already occur or is it yet future? Show your Scriptural reasons for your answer. John said "Blessed is the one who reads the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it, because the time is near." (Rev 1:3) Since we can't "take to heart" what we can't understand, surely the truth can be known.

Revelation is a book of prophesy for the time just before and shortly after Christ's return. The tribulations and wars of those times has not yet occured. The reason why is that in the prophesies it says there is again a temple in Jerusalem (Jewish Temple) This clearly is not the case yet, nor has it been for almost 2000 years since the dispersion of Jews by the Romans in 70 AD. Simply stated, if the event prophesied in Revelations include a Jewish temple in Jerusalem, there must be a temple there at the time of the prophesied events. |
