1 | Prophets of to day | 1 John 4:1 | Blazer | 143861
Good evening... I have been studying about the Prophets thats in the new testament and of to day. I under stand that there are a few true profhets in the land to day. But as of yet no one can give me the name of any that they would say "Can read your mail" I know in the old testament they were used a lot. Would it be in order to seek out one and to be able to get and answer for God? Thanks for your help.

Scripture ... Deu 13:1-5; Jer 23:16-27; 1 Cor 12:7-11, 13:9-10; 1Th 5:19-21; 1Jo 4:1-3 ... Blazer, greetings Some believe there are no porphets today ... I do not know (1 Cor 13:9-10). There is a difference between the gifts, including discernment and prophecy (1 Cor 12:7-11). When some one comes and says they have a word form the Lord, I stop them and ask if they are willing to be subject to the penalties in the Bible if they are not 100 PERCENT CORRECT. If they are wrong (even on 1 point in a million)they wee should NEVER listen to them. While the person said they weren't under the OT Law (Deu 13:1-5) ... I did day they were to never speak again about "what the Lord told them" ... when they did, I pubically condemned them ... they left in tears. God is serious and so am I. Tell the totla truth or keep silent. Searcher |

It is not my standard ... it is GOD'S STANDARD. And IF we preach/ prophecy anything false, then we should be silent.

it is also god's standard that we speak the truth in love, with gentleness and respect. kindly explain to me how your public condemnation ministers god's grace and mercy to the person you reduced to tears. Parable |
