Dear Halle, Welcome to the forum! Habitual sin is a characteristic of lost people. Part of the blessing of salvation is freedom from the slavery of sin. The Holy Spirit changes the heart of the believer such that they desire to live lives of holiness. A believer who fails to repent of known sin may well face corrective punishment from God (Hebrews 12).
