Hi. I have question regarding 2 Peter 2:20. I am not asking about eternal security as I have that issue settled in my mind. What I am interested in is the portion where it says "and overcome" or in the NASB, it says "and are overcome". It seems to me that adding the "are" changes the meaning. I can't find any study notes that deal with what this phrase is meaning. If "and are overcome" is the correct rendering of the verse, the answer is obvious. If "and overcome" is the correct rendering, it gets a little muddy in my mind. Any help appreciated. Thank you. | ||||||
