1 | why did the law change about unclean mea | Deut 12:15 | newcomer | 64881
why is it that God says they can eat unclean or clean whatever they lust over? Is the law about unclean meat not a law anymore? Also does it apply only to the gazelle and hart or does it apply to all unclean meat?
2 | why did the law change about unclean mea | Deut 12:15 | gregman | 64887
The law about unclean meats did not change. The text is not talking about unclean "meats" but unclean people. That is, it is referring to folks who were forbidden from defiling the sanctuary due to being ceremonialy unclean for whatever reason. The reason that these folks could now partake of the sacrificial meat was that upon entering Canaan these sacrifices were now being done at home for a while and not in the sanctuary which they would have defiled. |
