Hello, Tuggy, They are an obstinant people, and not smart enough to know when they have a good thing going. Which I think is why He calls us sheep. Like in this verse in 1 Samuel 8, They had a King, Which was The Most High God, but they wanted a King like all the other nations, You can read the whole chapter. It is really dumb, even after Samuel told them how it would be under an earthly king. Also if you read in Kings and Chronicles their kings would cause them to turn away from their God, and some kings caused them to return. 1 Sam 8:5 and they said to him, "Behold, you have grown old, and your sons do not walk in your ways. Now appoint a king for us to judge us like all the nations." Is 1:3 "An ox knows its owner, And a donkey its master's manger, But Israel does not know, My people do not understand." wordoer |
