We know absolutely nothing of this man, and it is doubtful that he is the author. 4.James, the half-brother of Jesus - Matthew 13:55 a. He was not a believer in Christ during the years of our Lord's ministry. John 7:2-5 b. Christ visited him after the resurrection, an event that apparently led to his conversion. 1 Corinthians 15:7 c. He became the pastor of the Jerusalem church. Acts 12:17; 15:13; 21:18 d. Many (most) believe that he is the author of this epistle. Or he could of been another James. Each scholar has their reason for citing their reason; hopefully they use the Bible -- the most accurate information. Steve |
