1 | AMm I UnTeachable? | James 1:19 | pb07pb | 196349 | ||
No biblical reference. My problem was that his church made him feel bad for searching the bible and trying to understand God better. Ac 17:10 ΒΆ And the brethren immediately sent Paul and Silas away by night to Berea; and when they arrived, they went into the synagogue of the Jews. 11 Now these were more noble-minded than those in Thessalonica, for they received the word with great eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily, [to see] whether these things were so. If a church is not allowing their disciples to search the scriptures to check what they sure it's true, then by all means he should change churches. We are living in different times. In the first century if there were problems Paul would write letters to address the problems. We do not have apostles able to fix every problem, but we do got the word of God. So when someone is saying you are unteachable or have an unteachable spirit obviously that is false. What this teacher said could very well hurt a new believer. He could of hurt his faith. He should choose his words more carefully. Everyone sound of mind is teachable and everyone is able to learn the word of God if they are willing. 1Co 14:33 for God is not [a God] of confusion but of peace, as in all the churches of the saints. |
