1 | Will Christians be judged at our death? | Heb 9:28 | MWLaine | 176977
A question my wife was asking me last night as we drove home from Lexington Kentucky after seeing our niece get Baptized. "Being reborn at salvation means that our sins are forgiven. So at the end of our days on earth are we judged? And does Jesus stand in our defense to declare us as one of his own thus protecting us from Gods Judgement?(Imputed Rigteousness) Or are we Judged by God at our death for sins we have committed since our re-birth after accepting the gift of grace?". My wife believes we will be judged but I believe we have taken on the righteousness of Christ, through believing in him, and thus are seen to be pure and spotless as Jesus himself.
2 | Will Christians be judged at our death? | Heb 9:28 | BradK | 176978
Hi MW, Heb 9:27 And inasmuch as it is appointed for men to die once and after this comes judgment, Heb 9:28 so Christ also, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time for salvation without reference to sin, to those who eagerly await Him. The believer will stand in judgment for deeds done in the flesh (Rom. 14:10-12., 1 Cor. 3:11-15, 2 Cor. 5:10). BradK |
