Greetings Joe! Yes, what a comfort! Just this Sunday morning, immediately after I arrived home from church I received a call from my Dr. I had a repeat CT scan on Friday, an although this was "standard procedure" you can understand the "what ifs" that assault the human mind. Knowing that this is a definite area of weakness and source of struggle for me, I believe the Lord has allowed things like these to come into my life in order to build my faith and confidence in Him. Back to the story . . . Now, for the most part, I have had a sense of peace about this, BUT the devil is always right there niggiling me to succumb to doubt, anxiety and fear . . . I suspect (from previous experience) that as each day passed, my level of vunerability would increase and knowing this, God intervened and removed the devil's playground from him! To have my Dr. in her office on a Sunday, and prompting her to review the report of my scan and make a call to me is just amazing - a God-thing, to be sure! Anyway, the report was fine and I thank God that HE didn't allow the devil to have a field day with my emotions! Thanks for sharing this Scripture, ideed our Lord not only intercedes but fights the battle FOR us! In Him who is ABLE! mommapbs |

Dear mommapbs: Thank you for sharing your story, what an encouragement! Reminds me to share with you this great passage from Philippians 4:4-7: 4 Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice! 5 Let your gentle spirit be known to all men. The Lord is near. 6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. The key is, “in Christ Jesus”. We can do nothing outside our Lord Jesus Christ. And know this, the prayers of a righteous man avail much (James 5:16), and because our righteousness comes from the ultimate source of righteousness, Christ Himself, just think of how powerful the prayers and supplications of Christ are on our behalf in the throne room of the Father (Heb. 7:25)! What a grand reality!! May the Lord guide you and keep you, In Christ, Joe Soli Deo Gloria!! |
