1 | The Word excites, your Faith grows! | Heb 4:12 | all4himm | 32963
This scripture is like a parable to explain the word of God. The word or the scripture is quick, that word is the same word quicken or to make alive, or living. The word of God is alive, powerful. It is powerful because it gives us victory in every area of our lives. When the enmy comes and says no body loves you, you should kill yourself and die; the word of God says for God loved you so much that He sent His only Son to die for you so that you can have a fufilling abundant life and you now use the word over the enemy when he says nobody loves you and you say the word which will overpower him "God loves me". So the word is quick and powerful and sharper than any 2 edged sword. This is a similie like in literature, you know a discription using like or as. Imagine the sharpest knife, like on that Whitney Houston and Kevin Costner movie where the he throws up a peice of silk and it lands on the knife and the knife is so sharp it slices the peice of silk into with no effort. Well this is how sharp we are talking. The word of is so sharp it reach deep into you heart seperate the mess of the world from the truth of Gods word in you heart and you know with knives that sharp you dont even feel pain. God is so good. And the word will sift like when your grandmother makes cakes and she sifts the flower to bake and the sifter catches all the lumps allowing the good flower to be seperated for baking and the lumpy flower to either be thinned out or dumped. When you allow the word of God in your heart this is what happens. All the bad gets worked out and all the good in your heart is used for God to work with. I hope this is a little more simple and understandable way of seeing the word of God.

all4him: Hello, The scripture there was not intended to "explain" the word of God. It is the Word!! Just read it, confess it out loud. Every word of it is taken from the Bible so I'm not exactly sure what you're trying to say there. I am a firm believer in confessing the word. For instance, when things seem to be going wrong or you're having problems from the enemy and you confess the word out loud: "I submit myself to God and I resist the enemy in the name of Jesus, therefor the Devil must Flee from me because greater is he that is in me than he that is in the world and I can do all things through Christ which strenghteneth me!!" It's like throwing hand grenades in the enemies' camp not to mention it's feeding your spirit and building your faith. Confess the word to praise the Lord. Colossians 2:9-10, Matthew 28:18, 1John 4:16-17 "I am complete in Christ who has the Fullness of the Godhead bodily, who is the head of all principality and power, who has been given all Power in Heaven and Earth, and as he is, so am I in this world". Confess that for a while or any part of the Bible and see if it doesn't excite your Spirit. Faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God. The Word is indeed powerful Barry |
