1 | Does God Say No For Greater Good? | Heb 2:14 | TheFinalSQL | 111809
2 Corinthians 12:7-10 And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure. For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me. And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong. Praise the Lord! Norm |

2 | Does God Say No For Greater Good? | Heb 2:14 | Ray | 111856
Hi SQL, May I add an Amen to your choice of Scripture for comparison and added light. 2 Corinthians 12:8,9, "Concerning this I entreated the Lord three times that it might depart from me. 9 And (He) has said to me, "**My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness." Hebrews 2:14, "Since then the children share in flesh and blood, He (Himself) likewise also partook of the same, that through death **He might render powerless him who had the power of death, that is, the devil; 15 and might deliver those who through fear of death were subject to slavery all their lives." Contrast/compare 2 Corinthians 13:4, "For indeed He was crucified because of weakness, but (He) lives because of the power of **God..." From the heart, Ray |
