1 | Does God Say No For Greater Good? | Heb 2:14 | TheFinalSQL | 111809 | ||
2 Corinthians 12:7-10 And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure. For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me. And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong. Praise the Lord! Norm |

I love the light that this scripture sheds in my heart! I read it over and over and it is so true and it answers my questions… as always God’s word does and it leaves me at peace with my circumstances; even though they may not change, I will. I also read this verse today and it showed me that even though the disciples who walked with Him… in person, an advantage that we do not have, they still had doubt, fear and felt inadequate; but that was also good because it as the scripture says… so that your faith would not rest on the wisdom of men, but on the power of God… the truth is… all things that we go through will cause our faith to rest in Christ! Thanks for your help in pointing me to the truth! It was appreciated! PTL! 1 Corinthians (amplified) 2:2 For I determined to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ, and Him crucified. 3 I was with you in weakness and in fear and in much trembling, 4 and my message and my preaching were not in persuasive words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, 2:5 so that your faith would not rest on the wisdom of men, but on the power of God. |
