1 | WHO SAVED NOAH: Ark or Water? | Heb 11:7 | arapga | 101595
If Noah went into the Ark and the water did not arrived, for forty days: would not the wicked people mocked them to death? If the water did not come, would they not starved themselves to death, or should they not turn the Ark into a cemetery? In God's wisdom, was Peter true when he said, "Noah and his family was saved by water?" We, men may argue to the truth. We may to our death claim that they were saved by the Ark, for without the ark they should not be safe and saved. Notwithstanding, with the Ark without the water, will also mean death to them. Was God revealing something to us something worth believing? And that is "The like figure, baptism also save us now, not putting away the filth of the flesh but ans answer of a good conscience toward God."
2 | WHO SAVED NOAH: Ark or Water? | Heb 11:7 | BradK | 101596
arapga, Actually, Noah was saved as all other OT and NT saints- by faith! It was his faith that saved him and his family- the ark was the means (or instrument) by which salvation was provided. Note Hebrews 11:7 "By faith Noah, being warned by God about things not yet seen, in reverence prepared an ark for the salvation of his household, by which he condemned the world, and became an heir of the righteousness which is according to faith." The ark was representative of Christ- it was a "typology". It had only one entrance and was the only means of salvation- exctly what Christ is for us. Speaking the Truth in Love, BradK |
