Lionstrong, It would appear from the context of the whole epistle that the primary literal interpretation is one of a personal exhortation to Timothy to persevere in his role as a pastor, teacher and evangelist. But that does not mean there is no appcation to the individual Christian, who in the home is the primary evangelist of children and on the job may evangelise by actions, if not with words, but sometimes in both ways.
