1 | How will their folly "be obvious to all" | 2 Tim 3:9 | Mommapbs | 133810 | ||
EdB - I find that the longer and closer I walk with God, the more aware I am of my own self-centered nature, how far short I fall . . . and how undeserving I am of His mercy and Grace - but they are mine; it just overwhelms me!(Romans 5:8) The joy of my salvation eclipses all. With that being said, I don't think that man is becoming more self-centered, imo, THAT is the root problem - man's (sin) nature; it is a consequence of Adam's rebellion against God. IMO, the expression of that self-centeredness is not only being promoted, but "legalized." So yes, I agree, we should expect to see a sinful society grow like wildfire in the medium of humanism that it spawns, feeds and protects. Blessings to you! mommapbs |

mommapbs Good point man hasn't really changed it is society’s view of man’s actions that is changing. When society allowed itself to guided by Godly principles self centeredness was frown upon. However as society move from Godliness to humanism we see self centeredness become accepted and even idealized. There is a lot of talk of respect yet the value of human life is diminished. Respect is now another way of saying don’t do anything that impedes my right to do my own thing. It is all about me! EdB |
