Hello Brad, I neither confirmed or denied the idea of electrical shock, but indicated the possibility of the Sadducee High Priest being struck dead by God on the day of Atonement, and the High Priest's supervision by the Pharisees who maintained control over the high priest. You seem to have had a problem finding one of the references: The Temple by Edersheim. The reference begins at the top of page 245, and is titled as: The Duties of the High Priest. The paragraph starts with the word: Seven.
