1 | Four Missionary Journeys? | 2 Tim 1:1 | Rolff | 206981 | ||
Paul had three missionary journeys as we normally think of a missionary. Acts 13:4f begins Missionary Journey 1. Acts 15:40f begins Missionary Journey 2. Acts 18:22f begins third missionary journey. These are documented as missionary journeys. But Paul in Acts 19:21, begins a transition, “Now after these things were finished, Paul purposed in the spirit to go to Jerusalem after he had passed through Macedonia and Achaia, saying, "After I have been there, I must also see Rome." Eventually, he is arrested and Roman soldiers take him to Caesar in Rome. Some call this the fourth missionary journey, some indicate he only had three missionary journeys. Hope this settles the confusion. Tumbleweed, I would encourage you to look at the Bible classes at www.goldenstate.edu |
