my question is how can I make my Husband understand that he can not be an apostle, He ignores his own family of five children and myself for example to go to his brothers because his two brothers and cousins that live there do nothing, My own parents called to say they were comming to visit, he left at 10:30 to help his brother to pick up a transmission, my parents came and went and when I called at 1 to see where he was he didn't even leave there house, blaming everyone else. three days later we went to get glasses, His insurance covered 200.00 but not some kinds of tint, when I tried to show him this he hit me with the book, leaving bruises, then he said he was not sorry, I can't take this christian I'm better than you attitude, telling me everybody knows its me, where can I go in the bible for help or answers to show him he's not as holy as he thinks, help, desperate starting to want him fall out of a plane..... |

Hi, lovablelady 41! I think that you are treading on dangerous grounds... Perhaps it is not Biblical passages that you (both partners!) need but professional/spiritual counseling. From your description of your household I feel that your husband has escalated from neglectful to abusive (both mental and physical abuse)... I experienced some of that from my older brother--no one knew the Bible better than he, according to him, of course! Yet when he behaved in a manner that was not reflective of the Scriptures... he would always have an excuse for his "slight error!" My advise: * Do not use the Bible as a sparring tool. * Do not allow your husband (nor yourself) to get physically or mentally abusive. * Do not allow your anger or feeling of impotence grieve your spirit ("fall out of a plane..."). * Do PRAY! * Get professional/spiritual counseling. * PRAY some more! God Bless! Angel |
