1 | Church discipline? | 1 Tim 5:22 | Mommapbs | 152419 | ||
Although we may not "lay on hands too hastily" do we participate in the sins of others when we do not confront the sin? This passage is about elders and rebuking them - but does this excuse us from confronting sin in church? I'm wondering about church discipline here. |

Terrib - thank you. This is what I was concerned about. In a situation I am aware of, (I seem to be the 'lone voice' crying "foul.") it has continually amazed me that the individual transgressor is not confronted by those in the body for ungodly behavior. Somehow these others are "intimidated" by this person and just plain refuse to confront for fear of offending . . . so I guess they are foul as well as fowl too?!(I don't believe the offender meets any of the "exceptions" noted by Finney here!) Thanks again, perhaps it is my duty to make others aware of theirs! Blessings, mommapbs |
