1 | Christians Apostate Same As Anit-Christ? | 1 Tim 4:1 | bowler | 206403 | ||
Cody Mac Thanks for the input. I see exactly what you are saying about the difference between apostasy and being of the spirit of the Anti-Christ. I got to thinking about what Jude says in 1:22, 23 about having mercy on some who doubt, save others snatching them out of the fire, and on some to have mercy with fear. And what I thought was that those who are apostate it may be possible to pull back to the faith because they have gone dangerously astray due to false teaching or doctrine, and that these are all apostate. This would make them believers who went wrong, but if they never come back were they ever saved? But that those who believe that Jesus is not God, these are the ones with the spirit of the Anti-Christ and they cannot be pulled back from something they were never truly a part of, the body of Christ. blessings abound, bowler |

Um I believe people can come back after that, why? I was raised in a baptist church, through high school I turned agnostic and now I am working on a bachelors in Christian teachings. I think a simple answer to what can be forgiven is to look at what cannot. Matthew 12:32 And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall no be forgiven him neither in this world, neither in the world to come. Everyone probably at some point has something really bad and dramatic happen to them and blame God and get angry at God and here we are told we can be forgiven but to do so against the Holy Ghot we cant, why? Because the Holy Ghost represents Gods grace and our salvation. To blaspheme or speak against it is to do so against our salvation. The Holy Ghost is what brings us the offering of salvation. |
