"Are there scriptures that define the three parts: spirit, soul and body? Are we considered as triune beings? The mind of the spirit - is that another dimension of the spirit?" one may potentially go back to the definitions of the words in the original languages. my spelling of the words will be a little bit off here. i believe that the word 'spirit' often originates from the word 'neuma' ?spelling? (meaning 'breath'). and the word 'soul' often originates from the word 'sykekos' ?spelling? (meaning 'psyche'). basically 'soul' means 'psyche' from where we get our word 'psychological'. psychologists deal with this realm without necessarily embracing spirituality or a belief in the spiritual realm. likewise, the word 'body' is self-explanatory. |
