1 | Fulfilled Old Testament prophecies | Col 2:8 | Flack | 147045
I had a discussion with someone about how many of the prophecies in the Old Testament were fulfilled in the New Testament. He said that since the authors of the books in the New Testament knew of what was prophesized they could have wrote their work to explicitly and purposely fulfill those prophecies (to further their message). What can I answer to such a statement? If someone doesn't accept the Bible as fact, is there another way to show them that the prophecies were still fulfilled (whether you believe in the Bible or not)? Are there other sources describing these fulfilled prophecies? |

2 | Fulfilled Old Testament prophecies | Col 2:8 | T'oma | 147049
Flack, numerous scientists have spent much time, effort and expense only to discover the Bible often has their “answer” to many of their questions of why, how, etc. How did those authors know about things unseen with the naked eye, that NEED to be held together, yet they who don't believe can't explain how? The Bible was written by men who, except for the inspiration of the creator Himself, couldn’t possibly know concerning life, space, etc. If these things are so accurately spelled out, and every scientists who is honest with him/herself, understands they were written so long before “discovery as fact”, how can any intelligent-being refute anything written in the “Bible”? As far as prophecy goes, the Old Testament isn’t the only source of “fulfilled prophecy”, look at all the New Testament’s and their fulfillments. Proof? History itself proves it. T’oma |
