DJConklin, I'm upset with you! I was going to do a major paper for a NT theology undergrad course and when I suggested to my prof the topic I wanted to cover he told me "Forget it; it's already been done" and showed me this site. So, I came here saw your study and read it thoroughly. I can see why my prof was impressed! I've already told half the class and my pastor about it. Oh well, I'll pick another topic. In the meantime I look forward to having a fruitful dialogue on this one! |

Thanks for your kind note Paul. What year are you in? Seminary or undergrad? Since you have to do a new study how about Gal. 4:10? |

You're welcome! We all can use an encouraging now and then-especially in this old world of sin! I just started my first year in a Bible college in Illinois. I'll run that verse by my prof and see what he says. This will be my first exegesis; how many have you done? |

There was a neat episode on Oprah in which Dr. Phil talked about with-holding medicine and it struck me that it really is true when they say "what goes around comes around"! Good luck in your studies; I remember my first year! I've done about a dozen, long and short (the latter you may hate as much as I did; but, learn to like it because it may be all you get to do when you get out!). Since I finished school I haven't had much time to do full-blown exegetical analyses; mostly word studies (like "almah"), history (like the date of the book of Daniel), and dealing with assorted claims by Bible critics (I'm on a couple of email lists). |
