1 | question | Col 2:12 | rferg | 57145
Why do think Jesus was baptized? He didn't have any sin in him! It is clear that the Holy Spirit decended upon him. Matthew 3:16,17 He didn't start his ministry until he had been baptized in water and the Spirit of God decended upon him.

mbooker: You are quite welcome. All my life I always heard that Jesus was baptized to set an example for us. Maybe he was and maybe he wasn't. But what we know for sure is that according to the Bible he was baptized TO FULFILL ALL RIGHTEOUSNESS. This is yet another example of the conflict between what we think we know and what the Bible actually SAYS. We know what the Bible means by what it says. Grace to you, kalos |
