God's day to you, charrod111, and welcom to the SBF, Some more notes ... While Manassah was actually the firstborn child(Gen 41:50-52), Jeremiah 31:9, says "Ephraim is My firstborn (beko in Hebrew)". So it doesn't always mean first in time. Ephraim took priority over Manassah and the rights of the one being born first. Colossians 1:15 fits this since Jesus wasn't the one who was born first in time ... some animal was ... Seth was first born human (Gen 4:1). Israel crossed his hands when blessing his grandchildren (Gen 48:13-14). What do you think? Searcher |

Searcher, I think you meant to say Cain was the first borne human. Genesis 4:1 Adam lay with his wife Eve, and she became pregnant and gave birth to Cain. She said, "With the help of the LORD I have brought forth [c] a man." 2 Later she gave birth to his brother Abel. |
