1 | Being in the Beloved? | Col 1:12 | Ray | 137178
The 1995 copyright of the NASB has several capitalization changes for the word "Light" and this verse is one of the changes. I agree with that change. I would welcome comments on a comparison of Colossians 1:13 with Ephesians 1:6, which I suggest is a perfect match. From the heart, Ray |

2 | Being in the Beloved? | Col 1:12 | STTIL | 137193
On the surface these two verses appear to speak to the same thing, however, Eph 1:6 tells us we are accepted (charitoo)in His Love (agapao) while Col 1:13 tells us that He has made us fit (hikanoo) for our participation (meris) in the Body (hagios) of Christ(phos). So simply put, one is our standing with God, while the other concerns our walk, both by the grace of God. In His Love STTIL |

3 | Being in the Beloved? | Col 1:12 | Ray | 137206
Hi STTIL, Welcome to the forum and I appreciate your thoughts. As one interested in capitalization of each Person of the trinity I would want to talk to you about "Love" and "Body", but I will write later when I am fresher. The thought that "He has delivered us from the power of darkness" and it is "to the praise of the glory of His grace" is a good thought. We are saved by the grace of God and "there we go if not for grace". From the heart, Ray |
