1 | Phinehas and the plague | Num 25:4 | stjohn | 195794 | ||
Hi Cheri, Evidently they were the leaders that God had instructed Moses to execute, because, they were leading the people away from Israel, by following the way of "Baal of Peor." Num 25:4 The LORD said to Moses, "Take all the leaders of the people and execute them in broad daylight before the LORD, so that the fierce anger of the LORD may turn away from Israel." 5 So Moses said to the judges of Israel, "Each of you slay his men who have joined themselves to Baal of Peor." God bless John |

P.S. John I'm asking because in Ps. 106:30-31 is says that Phinehas' action was counted for him as righteousness. That's why I'm wondering about the 2 people in particular. |
