1 | Phinehas and the plague | Num 25:4 | skccab | 195795
God bless you John, I was afraid I should have added those passages in my question. It all leads up to the one leader and his Midianite woman going into the tabernacle and Phinehas running them through with his saber or sword/spear and then the plague is stopped. So I was wondering if somewhere in scripture (that I missed or didn't understand) it was stated exactly what the significance of these two deaths in particular, at the hand of Phinehas, had to do with the plague stopping. Or am I trying to "over" understand it? Cheri |

Thank you Cheri! God bless you too! Nothing wrong with digging a little deeper sister, but sometimes we just cover what is there with all that extra dirt! ;-) But keep digging sis you never when you may find a treasure! I think sister Val has hit it right on, and, though placing it up against Passover may be a stretch, it is a pretty good comparison. I'll have to look a little closer at that analogy. God bless John |

3 | Phinehas and the plague | Num 25:4 | skccab | 195806
Shalom brother Let me know what you find, even if it's days or weeks from now. I've got that question written now in back of Bible to keep a look out on it. Never know what may pop up in some other study that will relate :-). And you're right about sister Val. Aren't we blessed to have such a network of Spirit-filled believers to walk with us on our journey? |

4 | Phinehas and the plague | Num 25:4 | stjohn | 195808
Yes, it is a blessing indeed, to have so many brothers and sisters in one place that are so committed to God's Holy Word! A wonderful journey it is, and each steep brings us closer to our God! "Enoch walked with God; and he was not, for God took him." God bless John |
