In Numbers 22:22 why was God angry with Balaam. He had already told him he could go with the men but only do what He said. | ||||||

I know this is a late response to this question, but I've always wondered the same thing. In Numbers 22:20, according to the KJV, God tells Balaam, "If the men come to call thee, rise up, and go with them;" I think the key word is IF. Then, the very next verse, 21 "And Balaam rose up in the morning, and saddled his ass, and went with the princes of Moab." I believe that Balaam went out to find them in his greediness, instead of following God's directions exactly, and waiting until they approached him again. Hope this helps! |
