why do you think the Lord gave aaron and his sons to bear the guilt in connection with the sanctuary?
2 | why did aaron and sons have to bear guil | Num 18:1 | Gileum | 212579
Because in Num.3:9 the Lord instructed Moses to put Aaron and his sons in charge of the Levites and later in verse 41 he told Moses "and thou shalt take the Levites for me". This meant that God himself had chosen the Levite tribe as his preisthood and he had also chosen Aaron and his sons to be the heads of that preisthood. Now this according to verse 39 was 22,000. For the Lord to choose them to be the head of that many preists they had to have been extremely upright and righteous, therefore he would expect a great deal more from them than the other preists. It deals with levels. Think of a business set-up. You have workers, supervisors, managers, vice-presidents and the president/ceo. The higer you go on the chain the more authority each one has and at the same time they also have to be responsible for everyone under them. So putting Aaron and his sons in charge of the Levites meant that the Lord trusted them greatly therefore they had the greatest responsibility. I pray that this has helped answer your question. God Bless, Gileum |

Yes Gileum, this has helped me a lot. especially about the levites being God chosens ones. I understand what you are saying and in the content that you are saying it. although I do have to mention God has no respector of person. Aaron just chose to answer his calling. He too could have ended up just like his sons if he disobeyed God. Yes, he very well trusted them because they had the fear of God and was obedient unto death. It takes obedience and faith to be in that place with God. Also God gives his righteous and saved ones the power to tread upon serpents and scorpions, so according to our faith we all have power. also as far as the ranks, in the bible it says where much is given much is required. a president, supervisor and managers can be demoted and once they are demoted they no longer have that responsibility of that position...but us as in God once we have tasted of his truth we can't turn back. once we know what we know it is then required of us. Amen...just communicating.
