JANEL Ephes. 6:4 And you, fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath, but bring them up in the training and admonition of the Lord. Col. 3:21 Fathers, do not provoke your children, lest they become discouraged. These two verses mean that parents and fathers in particular should not frustrate their children. In other words give them impossible tasks or expectations. Children are to be nurtured and disciplined but always in such away to give them achievable goals. Also the discipline and nurturing is to be done in a loving way never lording over them. EdB |
