1 | Rejection means never knew? | Eph 4:3 | stjohn | 206101
HI Andy... I think we can safely assume that, Judas Iscariot knew Jesus Christ more intimately then the false prophets that Peter was warning us about. He knew the truth very well indeed. Would you say he had been born again to salvation and then rejected it? Or did he just profess to know the truth? Those false prophets probably never knew the truth past their heads, and it never really got to their hearts where it could have done some good. I think I'd have to say they were never really saved. There is far to much Scripture to show us this is the case. It would be hard to hold up under the, Whole counsel of Scripture, that they lost their Salvation. Once you are born again, you are indeed born again. sólamente mi dos centavos, (Just my two cents) John |

2 | Rejection means never knew? | Eph 4:3 | lionheart | 206105
stjohn, Good day brother. What you say makes allot of sense. It's easy to hang a label on ones self, but where's the evidence. As you say, once you got it you got it. The question now arises what will one do to nuture that which God has given us. 2 Peter 1:3-15 and Phillipians 2:1-11 are outstanding passages when considering how we're going to walk the walk and do the things we need to do too grow in our relationship with our Lord and Savior. In Him, lionheart |

3 | Rejection means never knew? | Eph 4:3 | stjohn | 206110
Amen Brother, Lionheart.... Perseverance, self-control, Brotherly-Kindness, Godliness, etc... 1 Peter Ch 3 indeed does give us pause to look closely at ourselves, to see if these fruits of the spirit are visible, all leading to the "Christ-likeness" we see in Phillipians Ch 2. 1 Cor Ch 3 also is a good place to look for encouragement, and also to see what may happen if we don't, "walk the walk", especially Ch 15, Ouch! :-) Thank Brother! God bless John |
