1 | Who constitutes the church? | Eph 4:3 | Val | 206018
Thank you Mr. Doc. The reason I asked is because I am visiting a different denomination - The Church of the Nazarene and I have been critized by someone because they said its wrong to say the Lord's Prayer on a regular basis, that its not from the heart and secondly that I know or I interpret them as saying that you can lose your salvation. I don't believe a true christian can and was just wondering if I could still go there. Does that fall in essential doctrine? |

2 | Who constitutes the church? | Eph 4:3 | Morant61 | 206023
Greetings Val! May I interject? I am a Nazarene pastor. I know of nothing in our doctrine that would prohibit someone from saying the Lord's Prayer on a regular basis. As for doctrine, we are Arminian in doctrine. We don't believe that someone can 'lose' their salvation, but we do believe that someone can reject their salvation. I hope this helps! Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |

3 | Who constitutes the church? | Eph 4:3 | Val | 206025
Oh I am sorry, I interpreted it wrong. I really do not know or ever heard of anyone rejecting their salvation but one person. He was with the Billy Graham ministry and then turned on them and renounced Christ. Later in life I believe he said he missed Christ. I don't know if he was repenting. Some of us feel he probably never was saved but of course only God can judge the true intentions of the heart. Sometimes people die when they are out of God's will, living a sinful life or what appears to be a sinful life; example Elvis Presley. Some of us believe he was saved; he just lost his way. I know of a pastor who committed suicide after learning he had a terminal disease. Do you believe that is rejecting salvation or is it only the person who openly denounces Christ? I know Hank Williams said when he was depressed that there was no light. Minnie Pearl asked him about the song he wrote "I saw the Light" which is a testimony for Christ. Would you say he rejected his salvation? I am just trying to understand how this works. I hope you do not get offended in me asking. Thanks, Val |

Dear Val, Salvation of GOD. read John 6:39 "This is the will of Him who sent Me, that of all that He has given Me I lose nothing, but raise it up on the last day. Those who reject their salvation were never born again to begin with. God Bless Hoppy |
