Dear Sister Azure, I appreciated the verse to which you connected this post (Ephesians 4:14) -- it is fitting. What we have here is a good example of a chain letter. The Millennial Generation (or sometimes called Generation Y) always reveal themselves in how poorly they communicate. It is hard to dignify this message by calling it a letter. Nonetheless, that isn't the kid's primary failing. Harnessing superstition to propagate the message is certainly problematic. Furthermore, he had little regard for context, let alone a proper quotation. However, even that issue pales in comparison to the blasphemy of the first sentence. Therefore, I cannot conceive of being able to say "yes" to anything this kid wrote: so count me in the "no" column. Our greatest kindness would be to pray that God will have mercy upon the writer; and that our Lord would mitigate the heterodoxy he has promoted. In Him, Doc |
